A Blog Tutorial Series
This is a beginning of a blog series on how to utilize your rights where purchasing objects and tools from other creators are concerned. The purpose of these upcoming posts is to educate others on the reasons why Full Permissions does not mean "Do anything you want with this purchase."
This series will go over the subject matter below in depth:
Copyrights
Content Creation
Terms of Service
User Licensing Agreement
Open Source
Public Domain
GNU
Permissions
Digital Millenium Copyright Act
Wiki for Secondlife with Source information about these expectations
Responsibility
Integrity
The information in this blog series will be posted on notecards and given to SL Teachers without Borders (SLT) for open source use. Terms will be written on the tools so that schools or instructors can utilize the information for their own particular reasons.
The Subject matter is about our rights and the rights the creators have to objects. To protect you, and the creators, not have Linden Labs repeat itself on the subject as well.
Stay tuned to tonight's post where we will explore these subjects one at a time.
Even the best course material on SecondLife(TM) can be given a user license agreement or turned into Opensource.
Stay tuned. Learn more! Get the Scoop, Be Informed.
